Background: Kerry @ Real Toads asks us to write on Existentialism. The problem with many existentialists is their inability to fully extract themselves from many Western philosophy presuppositions. Existential angst [anxiety] results, in part, from people not deeply realizing that they too are animals. Do animals worry about meaning or expect the world to be anything but a challenge? Do animals ever act as if they are not responsible for their choices? Do animals feel isolated? No, and neither should we. Freedom from the notion of being created for a unique purpose and being more than we are, offers us real freedom.
