Haiku Heights‘ prompt today is “Storm“. In addition to containing my poem in a simple haiku (17 syllables or less), I have experimented with two additional constraints:
- to avoid using obvious words associated with the word “Storm”.
- to use word-images from my actual world, instead of pretending I am writing from the shores of Thoreau’s transcendental pond.
As a playful haiga-substitute, I use font, color, positioning and background to flavor my haiku.
