Introduction: Anna, at d’Verse Poets, prompts us to make an “erasure poem”. The source poem I used is by Hirata Toshiko. A translation is here. The original, with my mark up, is at the bottom of the post. My image is of a tsunami with the words not erased, riding in the wave. I translated those words into verse below the image. Hope this is no more jumbled than if I had done the same in English. This sort of writing is not my favorite, but I gave it a try.
